Where children learn through the land.
Outdoor, nature-based learning for home-educated and flexi-schooled children aged 7–12.
Set in the fields, barns and woodlands on our arable farm in Shropshire, a small community of children develop core life and curriculum skills via the seasons, the farming year, and personalised learning pathways.
What is Eyton Burrow?
LAND. LEARNING. WELLBEING
Eyton Burrow is a nature school offering an alternative education for children who learn best through doing, exploring and being on the land.
We provide outdoor, nature-based learning for home-educated and flexi-schooled children whose families are looking for alternatives to mainstream education.
Key subject knowledge and practical skills are thoughtfully woven into each 5.5-hour drop-off session, balancing child-led, person-centred exploration with facilitator-led content and activities.
Stories, wholesome shared food, and mindful movement are integral to our approach alongside building a community where children and families feel genuinely at the centre of their learning journey.
Every session follows a story, connecting what is learned back to the living world around them.
